Looks like it's not working...

Well ... as short as the time has been, it has come. My Nokia 6131 is having trouble ... staying in one piece, I guess. There are pieces coming off. Not exactly something I expected out of this phone, but hey, it's practically been around the world, so it's to be expected.

Since I had reasonably good luck with the Nokia, especially when compared with the Samsung and Motorola phones I've owned. This one lasted a whole year before it started being ... silly. Therefore, it is going to replaced by another Nokia.

Interestingly enough, I have already owned a phone bearing that is a member of the same model line as the one I bought. My second mobile phone was a Nokia 6185 with Primeco, which is a member of the Nokia 6110 model line; the phone I bought is a Nokia 6110 Navigator.

Based on the fact that I ordered it this afternoon, I'd assume it'll be arriving by Wednesday. I'm having it delivered to the office, so I should just be able to switch over once it arrives. Fantastic!

Happy Halloween, everyone. Fun times ... Julie had a good ol' time decorating the house and carving the pumpkins. Apparently there was a mutant squirrel the size of a small dog who got into the pumpkins and spread their guts all over the doorstep ... insolent squirrels.

Good times.

So ... HDTV is pretty sweet. I can see HD channels now, and even the commercials look awesome. 18 different kinds of awesome. It rocks my socks. For serios.

I have ordered the computer parts. Soon, I will have a beast of a computer on which I can code lots of cool stuff. Good times. It will be dual-booting Windows Vista Ultimate x64 and the 64-bit version of SuSE Linux.

That's all ... I think I'm having a panic attack.

... well, it just does. We all know it happens, but until it actually starts happening we only use the phrase in passing.

Anyway, I signed up for the 10-day free trial of WoW. I started playing on Saturday, and have reached level 8. I don't know if this is good or bad. Interestingly enough, I have only played WoW on a non-Mac box once -- I just tried it out for about 5 minutes at work, to see how a Radeon X1400 performs (not too thrilled about the performance, to be honest).

Julie is about to leave work for the day. I expect she'll be home in about half an hour,w hich means I had better make dinner.

We're taking delivery of a new fridge, range, and hood on Wednesday, which is indeed a good thing -- the previous owners took really bad care of the hood, leaving a thick layer of black, stinking grease. Additionally, the oven they left in the kitchen doesn't heat up past 180 degrees F, rendering it pretty much useless.
