Happy Halloween, everyone. Fun times ... Julie had a good ol' time decorating the house and carving the pumpkins. Apparently there was a mutant squirrel the size of a small dog who got into the pumpkins and spread their guts all over the doorstep ... insolent squirrels.

Good times.

So ... HDTV is pretty sweet. I can see HD channels now, and even the commercials look awesome. 18 different kinds of awesome. It rocks my socks. For serios.

I have ordered the computer parts. Soon, I will have a beast of a computer on which I can code lots of cool stuff. Good times. It will be dual-booting Windows Vista Ultimate x64 and the 64-bit version of SuSE Linux.

That's all ... I think I'm having a panic attack.

... well, it just does. We all know it happens, but until it actually starts happening we only use the phrase in passing.

Anyway, I signed up for the 10-day free trial of WoW. I started playing on Saturday, and have reached level 8. I don't know if this is good or bad. Interestingly enough, I have only played WoW on a non-Mac box once -- I just tried it out for about 5 minutes at work, to see how a Radeon X1400 performs (not too thrilled about the performance, to be honest).

Julie is about to leave work for the day. I expect she'll be home in about half an hour,w hich means I had better make dinner.

We're taking delivery of a new fridge, range, and hood on Wednesday, which is indeed a good thing -- the previous owners took really bad care of the hood, leaving a thick layer of black, stinking grease. Additionally, the oven they left in the kitchen doesn't heat up past 180 degrees F, rendering it pretty much useless.

I'm back ... we got in yesterday at 3:00AM, which is a bit ridiculous.

Pro-tip: no matter how tempting or cheap it is, do NOT book a flight with Air Jamaica. If your travel agent books your tickets with Air Jamaica, you need to re-book with another airline. The whole concept of "on-time travel" is lost on these people, simply because they're sending their planes everywhere except their intended destinations. When a plane is supposed to be in Montego Bay, and is supposed to board at 5:25PM, that usually means that the plane should be at the gate in Montego Bay before 5:25PM ... not in freaking Houston.

Anyway, other than that, the honeymoon was great. It was quite relaxing, to the point where we usually didn't wake up until about 10:30AM. We were very happy with the Sandals resort we stayed at -- we are now spoiled, and will be looking for all-inclusive resorts wherever we go.

So ... I have mowed the lawn, and have started doing the most epic loads of laundry ever. Julie went back to work today (and will be going tomorrow and Monday as well), while I don't go back until Tuesday. I fear the size of my email inbox ... I took a glance at it last night via Outlook Web Access, and it looks like I have 15 pages of messages ... I'm willing to wager that a fair percentage of those messages are spam, though.

Anyway, back to doing stuff.

Well, we spent about 90 minutes at the travel agency, but the honeymoon is saved. We are flying out on the 23rd, returning on the 30th. We weren't hit with any extra fees or anything, which is a good thing.

What a pain in the ass, though.
